Race To Georgia is an exciting unique series of Amateur Golf qualifying events held at clubs within the GCC, culminating with 2 x regional finals, one held in Riyadh, KSA, for KSA/Bahrain/Qatar qualifiers, and the second final in the Dubai for UAE qualifiers. For those young golfers interested to compete, there will be a junior category (under 21’s) where winners at the regional final win a club fitting session and a set of new top brand golf clubs, but alas no trip to the US.
Each regional final will have two Category winners who will each win a 1-week all-inclusive trip to Georgia, USA, to play in the USA final, against other qualifiers from the US and UK. During that week, the 4 x regional winners will have the ability to attend as Patrons at the iconic master’s 2024 venue.
Race To Georgia is an event organised by Reza Hygiene, inaugurated in Bahrain, and held annually since 2019. The event has grown considerably and in March 2022, The Montgomerie Golf Club held the first regional Grand Finale Qualifier in Dubai. This year will see an additional focus in KSA as part of growing the amateur game there, and a category for junior golfers. Although juniors will not win a trip to the U.S.A. an exciting first prize of club fitting for a set of new Golf irons is up for grabs.
